About The Owner

I am now a CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer—Knowledge Assessed) and K9 CPR–certified professional, dedicated to helping both dog parents and industry professionals build balanced, healthy, and emotionally connected relationships with their canine partners.

My passion for behavior, learning theory, and understanding the “why” behind canine actions began long before I entered the professional world. In 2003, I became the canine mom of two special-needs shepherds whose opposite personalities pushed me to dive deep into training and behavior. Feisty, my male, bit out of fear, was dog-aggressive, and very codependent. Kiah, my female, was bossy, territorial, and loved to learn. I jokingly called Feisty my street-smart dog and Kiah my book-smart dog. Their contrasting needs required me to develop individualized care and training approaches—an experience that shaped my entire career.

What started as a journey to better care for my own dogs became a lifelong passion and a business committed to improving canine welfare and strengthening human–dog relationships.

My work focuses on teaching how to provide the proper blend of mental, physical, and emotional stimulation that every dog needs to thrive.

Our Approach

Building Trust Through Science-Based, Humane Training

Training Philosophy & Methods

Our training is rooted in science-based learning theory, such as operant and counter-conditioning. We focus on positive reinforcement and negative punishment, while guiding handlers to use natural resources like food, play, and affection to teach and motivate their dogs.

We focus on developing reliable behavior that translates across all environments. Key life skills we build include impulse control, healthy social skills, and confidence. We also emphasize fostering a strong, positive relationship between the dog and its handler.

Core Training Goals: Life Skills Development

Training Equipment

Our training uses non-slip collars and traditional flat leashes for safety and comfort. We do not use prong collars, chain collars, or e-collars, ensuring a humane and stress-free experience for every dog.
