Active K9 Training Solutions

Training Designed Around Your Dog — and the Life You Want Together

At Active K9 Training, every private lesson is built around one simple belief: a well-trained dog starts with a strong partnership between you and your canine. Our private dog training programs for puppies and adult dogs are designed for owners who want to be fully involved in the process—not just drop their dog off and hope for the best. Instead, you’ll learn the skills, tools, and communication methods that create real behavior change and deepen your bond at the same time.

We have two dogs, an English bulldog and a red nose. They are great dogs, but the red nose likes to jump on people to greet them and the bulldog was very stubborn and didn’t realize he was 80 lbs. in no time at all, Missy had them behaving wonderfully and listening to our commands. Finally, we can walk them and have them in public without having to worry that their over friendly nature would end up hurting someone on accident. Missy took the time to train the dog, and us on how to get the best behavior from them. We could not be happier with the results. Thanks Missy!!! Best money ever spent!

Why Private Training Matters

Private training gives you the level of personalization that group classes and generalized programs cannot. Every dog learns differently, and every household has unique routines. Through one-on-one sessions, we address the exact issues you’re experiencing — from leash pulling and jumping to reactivity, anxiety, or trouble listening at home. You’ll learn how to communicate clearly with your dog, understand their behavior, and apply consistent strategies that work long-term.

It’s not just about teaching obedience commands; it’s about transforming the relationship between you and your dog. With the right structure, technique, and coaching, your dog becomes calmer, more confident, and more responsive — making daily life smoother, safer, and more enjoyable for both of you.

Good dogs don’t happen by accident—start training your dog the right way.
